Seminars and Workshops

WOOLSAFE TECHNICAL RESEARCH TOPIC: Dyes De-Mystified – Dr Agnes Zsednai

Understand why dyes bleed, what stabilizers and mordants actually do, how reducers/oxidizers impact wool and nylon, and the best choices for carpet and rug problems you are trying to correct. Understand what high alkalinity, from pet urine or bad product choice, is really doing to wool dyes and the fibres, and what you can and cannot do in these situations.

Agnes is Managing Director of the WoolSafe Organisation and tutors the Fibre Care Specialist training course. She has a PhD in chemistry and runs the WoolSafe Approved product certification programme.

RUG MARKETING: Successfully Selling High-End Services In A Cheap Rug World – Lisa Wagner

With a market flooded with machine made, tufted, and synthetic rugs, as well as less interest in traditional hand woven products, prices across the board have fallen for all rugs. Today it is often the case that the cost for cleaning is more than the purchase price (or resale value) of the rug in front of you. Discover the strategies for finding the clients who have investment rugs they happily want to take care of, and discover how to find opportunities with owners of cheaper rugs that convert into long-lasting win/win client relationships.

Lisa Wagner is a rug cleaner, a rug trainer, and founder of the Textile Pro Network. Her RugChick.com blog is the most referenced and visited consumer rug care resource on the web, leading consumers to rug care content and the best rug cleaners to use. She is a strategic marketing consultant and copywriter for the cleaning and restoration industry.

SYSTEMIZING YOUR SUCCESS: How To Create High Performance In Your Cleaning Company –  Mark Kennedy

Whether you are a start-up or a long time company you will walk away with examples and action steps to immediately implement into your company.

Mark Kennedy is the author of “Secrets of the Carpet Cleaning Super-Giants” and creator of the “Levels of Success Program.” He is a consultant and former cleaning business owner who has worked with over 40 of today’s largest cleaning and restoration companies, increasing revenue by up to hundreds of thousands of dollars with his sales, marketing, and management systems.
