We asked Peter about is journey to becoming a WoolSafe Approved Rug Care Specialist…

‘My journey into rug cleaning has just started and I’m glad to be part of the rug cleaning “family”. My interest in rugs came a few years after I purchased a multi service residential cleaning company. Not having a background in this industry I quickly looked for help. I networked with others, joined Facebook groups, forums and attended additional training seminars and conferences whenever possible. I was hooked on cleaning rugs and wanted to know and understand all aspects of this business . Within a years time I visited approximately 10 different rug shops around the country. From big to small I wanted to see what others were doing. I quickly found every shop was unique, with different approaches to cleaning, choice of equipment, processes employed and chemicals used to achieve the best outcomes. I also enrolled in the different rug cleaning courses. During all this I was buying and practicing on different types and styles of rugs. Fortunately, I was also introduced to the Wool Safe organization and attended their seminar two years ago here in Las Vegas. I have since become a WoolSafe Approved Service Provider. All of the formal education, training and advice I’ve received have helped me become a proud contributing member of this great community of rug cleaners.’

If you would like to learn more about how you could become a successful member of the rug care community stay the extra day, you won’t regret it.
