Objectives of the course
This course will prepare the student for the realistic challenges in dealing with biological hazards such as blood and other bodily fluids (e.g., trauma scene), sewage and other Category 3 water scenarios, virus outbreaks like the recent Coronavirus SARS-2 (COVID-19) and fungi (mould). Topics that will be covered will include:
Those engaging in biological hazard cleanup work MUST learn how to ensure that their cleaning procedures do not spread contaminants and to protect themselves and others from infection.
Further training is recommended. This is an introductory course.

N.B. This course is a live online classroom event. Trainees will need an email address to receive the login code, a computer, internet connection and register with Zoom (online meeting programme).
