A unique classroom based course which focuses on modern problem fabrics which may, or may not, appear on your current fibre testing charts. New fabrics are sent to the tutor, Julie Roberts, to be tested and the results of those cleaning trials, along with fabric samples, are given out to delegates to create their very own fabric reference manual. Fabric properties are discussed with special focus on faults and difficulties that may occur, the chemistry they are not compatible with and how those challenges can be overcome.
The course covers the cleaning techniques you should adopt in order to prevent problems occurring, opening up a whole new marketplace to profit from problem suites that others turn away. Also included are practical chemical testing for stains and the spot removal processes best suited to the fabric.
